2008 February 19 "The Economic Times launches in Hindi"[3]
2011 India's Internet population is estimated at 100 million users.[4]
2012–2015 Hindi search queries triple in the period, while the search term “समाचार” (Hindi for “news”) more than doubles, further indicating that the desire for local-language content is in fact growing.[5]
2014 January "Horizontal e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal.com has gone multilingual with its website starting with Hindi and Tamil languages, besides the default English language."[6]
