1960 The first fully automated mobile telephone is introduced in Sweden. 1973 The first mobile call is made by a Motorola employee. The phone weighs over a kilo and takes 10 hours to charge.[1]
1979 1G, the first generation of wireless telephone technology, is launched in Japan by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT). It is the first commercially automated cellular network.[1] Japan
